The Electronic Solutions ES565 is a versatile microprocessor-controlled voice module which may be used for a variety of door applications. In its factory default configuration, the ES565 supports four unique voices, each of which may be up to five seconds in length. The voices may field recorded through the built in microphone, or may optionally be pre-recorded with professional voices at the factory. Each voice is triggered by a dry contact input. An adjustable delay between voice annunciations is included.
A built-in 20 watt audio amplifier with volume control is integrated into the module. The amplifier is capable of driving both 8Ω and 4Ω speakers.
A single normally open dry contact relay output, rated 1A at 30VDC maximum, is also provided. With the standard software provided, this relay triggers during the delay between voice annunciations. It may be factory programmed for a variety of other functions using optional custom software.
The input burden for each actuating signal is 12VDC at 15 milliamperes maximum. An input LED for each voice offers visual confirmation that the annunciator is being triggered by the external switch. Input, output, speaker, and power connections are made via fixed terminal blocks.
The power requirement for the ES565 is 12 volts DC at 70 milliamperes standby, 2.5 amperes peak. A power supply with 800 mA minimum current capability is recommended; supplies with less output current may be used with an 8Ω speaker load and at lower volume levels. The unit includes an 8-position DIP switch for setting the delay between annunciations and adjusting various other functions. Pushbuttons to
test each voice are also included. Module size is 3.25” x 5”, allowing convenient installation inside the door header.
